In the center of the Red Light District, in the former home of Jan Hartmann, a Catholic church, nicknamed the Church of Our Beloved Lord in the Attic (Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder), survives. The organ and interior have been carefully restored; there are 17th- and 18th-century paintings and church utensils on the lower floors, as well as a carefully restored 17th-century kitchen lined with Delft tiles depicting ancient children’s games and pastimes.
